Westlake Village, CA – Westlake High School’s softball team triumphed over Chaminade with a decisive score of 7-2 in the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 3 playoffs on Saturday. This victory not only marks a significant win for Westlake but also ends Chaminade’s three-game winning streak and concludes their playoff run.
Chaminade, who had celebrated success in their previous game by scoring 12 runs, faced a tough challenge against Westlake, struggling to replicate their earlier performance. In the game, five players from Chaminade recorded at least one hit, with Kyriel Fletcher’s 1-for-3 hitting performance including a stolen base and one run scored.
