The total funding amount awarded in Spring 2025 reflects the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to supporting educators. Projects funded this cycle include forensic science experiments, student entrepreneurship programs, and the expansion of horticulture clubs focusing on California native plants. Each project is designed to engage students and improve their educational experiences.

Foundation President Marvel Ford highlighted the essential role teachers play in student success, noting that innovative projects provide valuable opportunities for students to explore real-world applications of their studies. The Teacher Grant program, which started in 2012, has awarded a total of $215,000 to support educational initiatives, underscoring the Foundation’s mission to contribute positively to local communities.

The grants are awarded bi-annually, with up to 20 grants available during each cycle. Eligible applicants must be full-time classroom teachers working in designated counties, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and others. This initiative continues to empower teachers by providing funding for projects that they believe will make a significant impact in their classrooms.
