Rachael was born on October 25, 1977, in Anaheim, California, where she lived her entire life. She received her early education at a small Christian school, completing her education from preschool through high school. Rachael went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree from Santa Ana College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Commerce from California State University, Fullerton.

Advocacy and Career

Throughout her life, Rachael worked in sales and even had experience in acting. However, she found her true passion in advocacy, dedicating over ten years to publicly share her struggles with anorexia nervosa. Her efforts were aimed at raising awareness about the eating disorder and helping others understand the complexities surrounding it. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rachael returned to education, completing her studies online at Saddleback College. In 2024, she graduated Magna Cum Laude again, this time with two Associate of Science degrees, one in Alcohol and Drug Studies and the other in Human Services Generalist.

Personal Life

Rachael is survived by her devoted husband, Rod Farrokh-Edmondson, whom she married on December 31, 2013. Rod remained committed to caring for Rachael through both sickness and health, embodying the vows they took during their wedding. Also surviving Rachael are her cherished pets: a dog named Toby, a fur nephew named Widget, and a fur sister named Roxy, who was especially dear to her.

Family and Interests

Rachael had a special bond with her sister, Ranna, who recalled fond memories of Rachael, including moments from their childhood. Rachael was deeply loved by her parents and had a unique passion for the color orange and the movie “Steel Magnolias,” often quoting lines from it with her sister. In addition to her advocacy work, Rachael had a great sense of humor and loved visiting comedy clubs, making her friends and family laugh. She enjoyed interests like Spiderman, rap music, and spending quality time with those she loved.
