Mission Viejo, CA – Two beloved local residents, Margaret Armstrong and Ronald Thomas Woodhull, have passed away, leaving behind families and friends who will remember them fondly. Margaret, 91, died peacefully at her home in Mission Viejo on September 18, 2025, while Ronald, 65, succumbed to liver cancer on September 14, 2025.
Margaret Armstrong
Margaret Armstrong was born on August 29, 1934, and is remembered not only for her long life but also for her deep devotion to her family and Catholic faith. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Armstrong, and three of her children: Michael L. Armstrong, Teresa Belanger, and John Armstrong. She was also preceded by two grandchildren, Kathleen Belanic and Mark Motley.
She is survived by several family members, including her daughters, Deborah Clapp, Sandra Motley, Marilyn Belanic, Gerard Armstrong, Mary Visger, Patricia Schlobohm, James Armstrong, and Michael D. Armstrong. Additionally, she leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, along with two surviving sisters, Marilyn Tewes and Helen Michaels.
Her funeral services are set to take place on October 4, 2025, at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church in Rancho Santa Margarita, beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Christian Service of King Detroit in her memory at https://www.cskdetroit.org.
Ronald Thomas Woodhull
Ronald Thomas Woodhull, affectionately known as “Woody,” was born on March 22, 1960, in Camp LeJeune, NC. He spent many years living in Corona, CA, before residing in Mission Viejo at the time of his passing. He is remembered for his passion for music, sports, fishing, and cherishing time with family and friends.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Savannah, and son, Orion. He also had two sisters, Janet Sannebeck and Jeanette Fitzgerald. Ronald was preceded in death by both of his parents, Theodore Woodhull and Florentina Woodhull, as well as his sister, Julie Coppins.
A Celebration of Life for Ronald will be held on September 28, 2025, at a private residence. Family members have requested that anyone seeking details regarding the event contact Jeanette Fitzgerald via email at [email protected]. Donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to the CHOC Foundation.
