Families enjoying the Mission Viejo Farmers Market
Mission Viejo will host its Farmers Market this summer, along with community-focused activities including food drives and a craft fair. Dana Point and San Clemente will also introduce free trolley services, improving local transit options. Residents are encouraged to participate in these community events, fostering engagement and support for local businesses and nonprofit organizations. The Farmers Market will showcase local goods while the trolley services enhance transportation accessibility.
Mission Viejo will be bustling with community activities this summer, as the Mission Viejo Farmers Market is set to welcome visitors on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event will be held at 25282 Marguerite Parkway, featuring an array of local offerings including fresh produce, baked goods, and live music.
The Farmers Market will be a Certified Farmers Market and will also host a variety of activities such as a craft fair and games. Additionally, the event is aligned with community outreach efforts, as the City of Mission Viejo will organize three food drives throughout the summer. These food drives aim to benefit local nonprofit organizations, including South County Outreach and Family Assistance Ministries. Notable dates for the food drives include June 18, 2025, focusing on local seniors, May 31, 2025, and July 26, 2025.
Community members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to contribute on these key dates. For the latest updates on the Farmers Market or inquiries, attendees can consult the market’s website or contact the local organizer at 949-470-3061.
Dana Point is also rolling out its Free Summer Trolley service, set to begin on Friday, May 23, 2025, and will operate daily until Labor Day, which falls on Monday, September 1, 2025. The trolley is designed to improve local transit options, making it easier for residents and visitors to navigate the area efficiently. Operating hours are from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and adjusted hours for weekends and holidays have also been established.
New trolley stops are being added throughout Dana Point to better serve the community, including stops at Sunset Park and connection points to nearby San Clemente. The trolley is ADA accessible, enhancing mobility for all passengers.
San Clemente will mirror Dana Point’s efforts with its own Trolley service, which will run from May 23, 2025, through September 30, 2025. Like its counterpart in Dana Point, the San Clemente Trolley will operate on a similar schedule, offering free rides to families every 15-25 minutes. The service will also accommodate those with disabilities, featuring a wheelchair lift and bike racks for added convenience.
Community leaders are focusing on maintaining ridership levels to ensure continued funding for these trolley services as part of broader efforts to enhance public transportation options. They encourage the community to utilize these services for seamless connectivity and increased local engagement.
As summer approaches, communities in Mission Viejo, Dana Point, and San Clemente are preparing to foster an engaging atmosphere through these vibrant local events and services. The Farmers Market and free trolley services not only provide opportunities for enjoyment, but also help cultivate a sense of community spirit across these areas.
