Residents of Mission Viejo come together to help save lives through blood donation.
The American Red Cross is organizing a blood drive in Mission Viejo on May 23. Set at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, the event encourages locals to donate blood. Identification is required for participation. This blood drive is part of a series throughout South Orange County, promoting the importance of blood donations, especially as summer approaches. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in Mission Viejo on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The event will take place at the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, located at 26001 Muirlands. Participants are required to present identification to donate blood.
This blood drive in Mission Viejo is part of a series of blood drives organized by the American Red Cross throughout South Orange County in 2025. Immediately following the Mission Viejo event, another blood drive is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Following that, an additional blood drive will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Mission Viejo Country Club from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There are also plans for blood drives in other South Orange County locations within the same week. On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Dana Point Yacht Club will host a drive from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while the Marina Hills Recreation Center in Laguna Niguel will conduct a blood drive from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The following day, May 29, 2025, two blood drives are scheduled in Laguna Niguel and San Juan Capistrano, one occurring at the Faith Episcopal Church from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and another at AMFM Healthcare from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The last blood drive of this series will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Baha’is of San Clemente from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In addition to these scheduled blood drives, the Laguna Hills Blood Donation Center offers blood donation opportunities daily throughout May 2025. It is located at 22971 Mill Creek Drive. Individuals interested in donating blood can easily make arrangements to visit the center, even on short notice.
Individuals wishing to participate in the blood drive are encouraged to register beforehand. To do so, they can call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
