On a later date, Jeffrey Ferguson pleaded not guilty to the murder charge at a court hearing in downtown Los Angeles. The decision to hear the case in Los Angeles is due to Ferguson’s connections within the Orange County judicial system. He is currently out on bond, with a pretrial hearing set for September 20.
