Family and friends will gather this month to honor G. Scott Staniar, who peacefully passed away. Memorial services include a Rosary, visiting hours, and a Funeral Mass. The family invites donations in his name to a student enrichment center project he supported.

Concord, MA – A gathering for family and friends to honor the life of G. Scott Staniar, age 61, will take place this month following his peaceful passing on June 22, 2025, in Mission Viejo, California. His wife, Rita, and their four children were by his side at the time of his death.

Scott Staniar is survived by his wife Rita and their children Garth, Leslie, Kimberly, and Elizabeth. He is also remembered by his parents, Mary and Wade Staniar, and his sister Kim, who is married to Jon and has two daughters, Michaela and Leigh. He was predeceased by his grandparents Marion and George Staniar, Margaret and Lyndell Carter, and his in-laws Dr. and Mrs. Garth Tagge.

The memorial services for Scott will commence with a Rosary service on Wednesday, July 9th, at 3:45 PM in St. Bernard’s Church at Holy Family Parish, located at 12 Monument Square in Concord Center. Following the Rosary, visiting hours will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the Dee Funeral Home at 27 Bedford Street in Concord Center. On Thursday, July 10th, Scott’s Funeral Mass is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM in the same church, with a reception to follow from 12:30 to 3:30 PM at Concord Country Club at 246 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations be made in Scott’s name to New HYTEs, an organization he passionately supported. These donations will assist in the construction of a New HYTEs Student Enrichment Center, which Scott envisioned building next to the Yale Bowl Area. This center is intended to provide classroom space and a tennis court, fostering education and community engagement for local students.

All donations can be made through the New HYTEs website, specifically on their donation page, ensuring the funds contribute to the well-being of young individuals in the community that Scott cherished.

For those who wish to pay tribute to Scott or learn more about his life, a complete obituary and tribute page is available online on the Dee Funeral Home website, where service details are also provided.

The obituary was posted on July 2, 2025, and it has been published in the Cape Cod Times, reflecting the community’s recognition of Scott Staniar’s life and legacy.
