Alix graduated from Trabuco Hills High School in 1999 and continued her education through adult education classes offered by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, later transferring to Saddleback College’s adult special education program. Her educational journey reflected her strong dedication to personal growth and community involvement.
Throughout her youth, Alix actively participated in the Special Olympics, competing in various events including the tennis ball throw, 50-meter dash, and bowling. Her athleticism earned her numerous medals and podium spots, showcasing her determination and skill. In addition, she was engaged in the AYSO VIP program and Challenger Little League, where she enjoyed inclusive sports experiences.
Alix’s passion for bowling was a significant aspect of her life, where she participated in weekly leagues with friends. She often used personalized bowling equipment, which included a customized ball that supported her active participation in the sport. Bowling not only brought her joy but also created connections with her peers and community.
Her community service extended beyond sports; she served in the hospitality ministry at her parish, participating in weekly services every Sunday. Alix was also an active member of the Tustin Area Republican Women Federated and the California Federation of Republican Women, demonstrating her commitment to civic engagement.
Outside her volunteer work, Alix cherished time with her family. She was a fan of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team and enjoyed watching WWE wrestling programs, showing her diverse interests.
Alix is survived by her parents, Albert and Gail Rego, along with her two siblings, Daniel and Stacie (married to Robert). A celebration of Alix’s life took place on July 22, 2025, at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church, located at 21682 Lake Forest Dr, Lake Forest, CA. The service commenced at 12:00 PM, followed by her interment at Ascension Cemetery, located at 24754 Trabuco Rd, Lake Forest, CA. Arrangements were handled by O’Connor Mortuary, offering support and comfort to the grieving family during this time.
