The CHOC Walk in the Park is scheduled to take place at Disneyland Resort, continuing its legacy of supporting children’s healthcare. This annual fundraising event seeks to raise funds for pediatric health programs and education, with a goal of transforming children’s healthcare in Southern California. Participants can register online and aim for a minimum fundraising goal of $125. With community-driven support, the event has raised millions since its inception in 1990, benefiting countless children in need.
Anaheim, CA – The 2025 CHOC Walk in the Park is set to take place on August 3, 2025, at Disneyland Resort, marking another chapter in its long-standing tradition of supporting pediatric health. This annual fundraising event, presented by Disneyland Resort, will traverse both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.
Proceeds from this event will provide essential support to healthcare programs, education, and research at CHOC’s campuses in Orange and Mission Viejo. Funds raised will also enhance CHOC’s extensive primary and specialty care networks, alongside educational initiatives across Southern California, transforming pediatric healthcare and impacting children both now and for future generations.
The CHOC Walk has proven to be a significant fundraising endeavor for over three decades, consistently raising more than $2 million annually, and contributing to a remarkable total of $46 million since its inception in 1990. More than two million children from four counties depend on CHOC’s services each year.
The event is not only vital for fundraising but also serves as a cornerstone for community philanthropy, aligning with CHOC’s mission to advance children’s health and well-being. Each year, CHOC invests over $155 million in community benefits, which includes increasing access to pediatric healthcare resources and behavioral health services. Notably, more than $135 million of this total is dedicated to uncompensated care, ensuring that children receive necessary medical attention regardless of their families’ financial circumstances.
This year’s ambassador for the CHOC Walk is Belle Wuich, a cancer survivor who completed her treatment in September 2024. Having been involved with CHOC since her diagnosis, she formed “Belle’s Brigade” for the walk in 2023. Belle underwent extensive treatment for neuroblastoma, which resulted in her missing her entire freshman year of high school. Currently, she participates in weekly physical therapy at CHOC’s Rehabilitation Center and advocates for the CHOC community through the Richard C. and Virginia A. Hunsaker Adolescent and Young Adult Child Life Cancer Program.
To participate in the CHOC Walk, individuals must register online and create a fundraising page with a minimum fundraising goal of $125. Registration for the 2025 event is already open, with information available through CHOC’s social media platforms and website.
The CHOC Walk in the Park is recognized as one of the largest pediatric fundraisers in the United States. A detailed schedule for the event is as follows:
Participants can look forward to various incentives based on fundraising levels, including Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets, enhancing their experience while contributing to a meaningful cause.
