For those looking to indulge in delicious cuisine and cultural traditions, the Denver Greek Festival will be held at the Assumption of Theotokos, opening its doors from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with entry priced at $5 for adults and free for children under 12.

The weekend schedule also includes a performance by comedian David Koechner at the Denver Improv on Friday night, adding a splash of humor to the festivities. In Arvada, the annual Summerfest and a culturally rich Arvada Powwow will celebrate Indigenous cultures, featuring art and business showcases dedicated to raising awareness of Native American traditions.

For those interested in gems and minerals, the Pikes Peak Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show will be hosted at the Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs from Friday through Sunday. The event is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, with tickets priced at $5 for a single-day entry and $8 for multi-day access. Children 12 and under can attend for free.

Manitou Springs will kick off its Colorado Wine Festival Saturday afternoon at Memorial Park, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with an admission fee of $75 that grants access to wine tasting and other festival offerings.

In addition to the plethora of festivals, libraries throughout Denver will host family-friendly activities, including Little University: Breakdance at the Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales Branch Library and the Summer of Adventure Kick-off Party at Bear Valley Branch Library, both offering fun for children.

The weekend’s entertainment lineup also includes notable comedy performances featuring Jessie “Jetski” Johnson at Comedy Works Downtown and Janelle James at Comedy Works South. Theater enthusiasts can catch And Juliet at the Buell Theatre and Forbidden Broadway: Merrily We Stole A Song at Garner Galleria Theatre running through the end of June.

For music lovers, the weekend will feature Music in the Gardens with Joel Ansett, along with the thrilling Quinn XCII performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Sports fans can catch the Colorado Rockies facing off against the New York Mets at Coors Field on Friday night.

The weekend will also see the Denver Fringe Festival returning with over 200 performances in various venues. A variety of markets will be happening, including the Non-Corporate Pride Market and the 2nd Annual Pride Party at Denver Central Market, both celebrating community and diversity.

This weekend will resonate with a sense of community spirit as locals enjoy numerous recreational activities, such as a free fishing weekend on Saturday and Sunday, allowing statewide fishing without a license. Also, the Elizabeth Stampede will showcase rodeo events, and the Greeley Blues Jam will feature music and food vendors to celebrate the blues genre.
